From our Roving Reporter Dai Hards:-

Whitehead started well and were awarded a penalty which was kicked by Matt Doderidge. This was followed by a try scored by John Farrugia and converted by Matt Doderidge. Whitehead were playing good open rugby and soon added a further try scored and converted by Matt Doderidge who then kicked a penalty. Beaufort were struggling to keep up with the speed of Whitehead who then scored 2 further tries one by Tom Ireland and one by Lewis Johnson which was converted by Matt Doderidge.

Half Time     Whitehead RFC 32 - 0 Beaufort.

Beaufort started the second half well and their pack started to control the game putting Whitehead under a lot of pressure. After a concerted effort they were rewarded with a try in the corner which was not converted. Whitehead responded straight from the restart and Matt Doderidge scored his second try which he converted. Beaufort continued to put pressure on Whitehead  through their pack. Whitehead then had a breakout which resulted in a try scored by Davey Mulroy. Beaufort continued to frustrate Whitehead through their pack and after a long period of pressure on the Whitehead line they scored a well deserved try which was converted. Near the end of the game Whitehead had a breakaway which resulted in a second try for Davey Mulroy converted by Matt Doderidge.
