The game kicked off in grey dreary conditions. Both sides were keen to keep the ball in hand. After a fine passing movement Lewis David went over for a try that was not converted. Blackwood replied with a penalty.This was followed by two penalties for Whitehead converted by Davey Mulroy. This was followed by a Whitehead lineout set move which saw Mike Bush score a try which was converted by Davey Mulroy.

The second half kicked off and after a good handling move Rhys Howells went over in the corner for a try which was not converted. This was followed by a second try for Lewis David which was converted by Davey Mulroy. Whitehead followed this with a driving lineout which resulted in a try for Bailey Davies which was converted by Davey Mulroy. After a good handling move Owen Pearson gave a neat dummy and pass to put Jamie Harris over in the corner for a try which was not converted. This was followed by a virtual copycat try for Jamie Harris via Owen Pearson which was not converted. Blackwood got a deserved consolation try to complete the scoring.
