Whitehead Secure League Title for First Time in their History in Fraught Encounter

The last game of the season for Whitehead RFC saw them clinch the League Title for the first time in their history, in what was a very fraught occasion for players, coaches and fans. As usual, our very own roving reporter, Dai Hards, was there to give his match report:-

Whitehead RFC v Trinant RFC

The game kicked off on a very sunny day. Trinant were very strong at the scrum and were making problems for the Whitehead scrum. After a long period of presssure Trinant scored a try which was converted. Whitehead then began to pass the ball quickly and after a break were close to the Trinant line when Trinant conceded a penalty which was converted by Llyr Davies. This was followed by a drop goal by  Llyr Davies. Trinant were still causing problems for the Whitehead scrum and after a series of scrums on the Whitehead line Trinant scored a try which was converted.
