Whitehead lost their first ever fixture against Aberbargoed in a closely fought contest. Our roving reporter, Dai Hards, was there to give this report:-
The game kicked of in good conditions. Whitehead were quickly on the attack. Whitehead were awarded a penalty which was converted by Davey Mulroy. Whitehead continued to throw the ball around and after a good drive from a lineout Andrew Yeoman crashed over for a try that was converted by Davey Mulroy. Aberbargoed then had a breakout and were awarded a penalty which was converted. Aberbargoed continued to attack Whitehead and scored a try which was converted.

Aberbargoed started the second half where they left the first half and quickly scored a try that was converted. Whitehead replied with two quick penalties converted by Davey Mulroy. Aberbargoed replied with a long range penalty. Whitehead quickly replied with a converted penalty by Davey Mulroy.
