The game kicked off in perfect conditions. New Tredegar were soon on the attack and quickly scored a try which was converted. This was quickly followed by a penalty. Whitehead started to throw the ball around and were rewarded with a penalty converted by Davey Mulroy. New Tredegar continued to put pressure on Whitehead and were rewarded with a try which was not converted. Whitehead came more into the game and Davey Mulroy kicked two penalties.

The second half started and New Tredegar quickly increased their lead with a penalty. Whitehead went on the attack and were rewarded with a try by Jamie Harris which was converted by Davey Mulrov. New Tredegar scored another try which was not converted.
