A historic day for Whitehead RFC as promotion is secured in the dizzy heights of Trefil at the home of "The Quarymen". With one game left to play promotion is certain, but the League title could also belong to the club if we get a single point from the result. Our regular roving reporter, Dai Hards, was there to give his report of the proceedings:- "

The game started with a bang with Whitehead Josh Channing scoring a try in the first 5 Minutes which was converted by Llyr Davies. This was followed by a penalty kicked by Llyr Davies. Trefil were putting the Whitehead scrum under some pressure but they stayed firm. After a break from the back of scrum Lee Cox crashed over for a try converted by Llyr Davies who then kicked another penalty. On the last movement of the half after some good handling the Whitehead captain Tom Blacker scored a try in the corner which was not converted.

The second half started with a try scored by John Farrugia and converted by Llyr Davies. After a good handling move Sam Proctor went over in the corner for a try which was not converted. Trefil were now losing their discipline under pressure from Whitehead and were conceding a lot of penalties. After some good handling Josh Channing went over for a try which was converted by Llyr Davies. Whitehead then scored a two further tries one by Craig Lloyd and another for Josh Channing which completed a hat trick for him. These were both converted by Llyr Davies.
